Charitable Grants from Trusts and Foundations

CPL Grants Program

The Cerebral Palsy League is built upon the valuable partnerships with governmental, non-profit and business organisations across Australia.

Without their generous charitable grants, CPL would not be able to provide quality services and support to the 5,000 children and adults with disabilities who depend on it the most.

On behalf of everyone here at CPL, CEO Rhys Kennedy offers his most sincere thanks to all the trusts and foundations that have supported us over the years: “Your generosity of spirit has tangibly transformed the lives of so many Queenslanders. We can’t thank you enough, and hope that you will continue to support CPL and the important work it does supporting children and adults with disabilities.”

Thank you to our recent supporters!

The John Villiers Trust: supported CPL's Townsville Service's Fit Out costs upon relocation of our Townsville services to a larger, more fit-for-purpose premises, where our clients can enjoy more space, comfort, additional therapy rooms and new program offerings that weren’t possible before in the smaller building.

Vuly logo Vuly Trampolines: funded a trampoline (including a cover and basketball hoop) for CPL's Townsville and CPL's Toowoomba services.

Mount Isa Mines: providing in-kind accommodation for CPL Allied Health staff when delivering Mt Isa outreach services since early 2015 to mid 2017, through the Mount Isa Mines Community Assistance Program.

The Cory Charitable Foundation: funding Speech and Language Pathology Assessments to help us provide best-practice clinical assessments and speech pathology services to children and young people with complex communication needs.

Runaway Bay Children in Need Beneficiary Trust: supported a great deal of CPL’s projects for children with disabilities across Queensland.

Iwasaki Foundation: funded a Sensory Room and a suite of Allied Health equipment and resources  at CPL Rockhampton’s service.

Suncorp Insurance and the Queensland Police Service: funded the ‘Looking Forward’ project, providing reverse cameras for CPL accessible vehicles. Watch the 'Looking forward' grants video here.

How your trust can help

Your charitable grant can make an incredible difference in the lives of thousands of people with disabilities through your support of CPL. Your grant can go towards a specific purpose or geographical region, or you can task us with allocating it to regions, programs and specific clients that need it most.

These are just a few examples of CPL's upcoming projects that need your support:

  • Program resources – help deliver invaluable arts programs, such as Screech Arts, Dance Unlimited, and other creative programs incorporating Film, Music, Photography and Multimedia to children and adults across Queensland.

  • Capital/infrastructure projects – support site improvements and developments to improve accessibility and reach as many people as possible, such as the accessible kitchen and laundry works needed at CPL's Capalaba service for Cooking and Life Skills programs, or CPL's Toowoomba service Redevelopment and Improvement project to help more adults participate in life skills, educational and recreational programming, and enable more children to access therapy support onsite.

  • Individual client support – CPL is currently seeking 42 children’s equipment needs to the value of $166,000 so they can access prescribed equipment including walkers, power wheelchairs, splints, orthoses, iPads, standing frames, speech generating devices, switches and other adaptive technologies as prescribed by their therapist for their health, wellbeing and safety of them or their carer.
With over $500,000 worth of projects on CPL’s Wishlist, we really need your support now more than ever!  Let’s work together to put CPL’s vision into action and ensure ‘an inclusive society for all people’.
