CPL is now required to keep visitor records for 56 days for each of the Supported Independent Living (SIL) houses where we deliver services. 

To make this process easier, CPL is looking to transition from paper-based forms to an online check-in system. We have introduced this in our offices, but we want to hear your thoughts about using online check in at your home instead of paper forms.

In line with this, from 8am Monday 31 August there will some additional measures in place for all CPL services, to keep you and your family, and our employees, healthy and safe and to ensure we are consistent with the required government restrictions.

Following two confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Gold Coast today, the Queensland Government has expanded directive to cover the Gold Coast City Council region. From tomorrow, there will be restrictions in place for all CPL services, to keep you and your family, and our employees, healthy and safe.

As you may be aware, nine new cases of COVID-19 in the southeast Queensland region were announced today, as a result the Queensland Government has shutdown aged care and disability accommodation in the affected local government areas. CPL has recognised the potential risk to those living and working in those regions so has made a series of changes to ensure client and employee safety during this period.

As you know, just over a fortnight ago CPL made the decision to temporarily suspend Support in the Community services due to the potential COVID-19 outbreak on the southside of Brisbane.  Given the small number of cases associated with this outbreak, we are now able to reopen our services from tomorrow, Tuesday 18 August.

As you may be aware, three new cases of COVID-19 in South East Queensland were announced yesterday.

CPL has recognised that these cases are occurring at a time where there are fewer community restrictions in place and that shopping centres and other community facilities are open, so we have made a series of prompt changes to our services in impacted areas to reduce the risk to our clients and staff.

CPL has introduced additional measures regarding site visitation and cleanliness – and reinforced existing practices regarding personal hygiene – at our sites to manage the risk of transmission for clients and employees.

We continue to liaise with the Federal Department of Health, Queensland Health, NSW Health and other government departments, the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) and other disability providers to share information and strategies, and ensure people with a disability are included and prioritised in broader health planning.
