As you know, last week CPL made the safety decision to change some of our services in South Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan and Redlands areas, due to the potential coronavirus outbreak. Those changes included closing our centres in Capalaba, Springfield, Booval, Beenleigh, Yeronga, Moorooka and Mount Gravatt; and introduce personal protective equipment for employees working in selected settings.
Following the lead of Queensland Health, we have decided to extend these arrangements up until and including Friday 14 August 2020. We feel a cautious approach is the best way for us to ensure the health and safety of our clients and employees.
I want to assure you that at the time of writing this update, no CPL employee or client has tested positive for coronavirus.
I understand these changes are difficult for some, so please get in touch with us if you would like to arrange alternative supports Telehealth is available to our Allied Health clients, and online programs are available to other clients and to Access Arts clients, or you can arrange for home-based support. If you experience any barriers to participating in these programs, such as access to a device , please speak to your local Area Manager as we may be able to assist you to access additional NDIS funding for a device.
If you are receiving support in your home, please let us know if you are awaiting test results for COVID-19. We understand and appreciate that many people in southern suburbs have undergone testing as a precaution, but it is still important that our employees are equipped with the appropriate information and equipment to support you while you await your results. Just give us a call on 1800 275 753 to let us know.
As always, if there is anything CPL can do to assist you, please don’t hesitate to get in touch We are committed to keeping you informed and will be back in touch next week to advise you about arrangements beyond 14 August.
Take care and stay safe.
