Queensland disability legislation says disability service providers need to check that all prospective students, volunteers and staff will provide safe and quality support to service users. The Queensland Family and Child Commission also has rules regarding the employment of staff who work with children.
This means that anyone participating in a Student Work Placement must undergo criminal history screening every three years.
Training recommends that all students apply for both a Blue Card
and a Yellow Card
so you can work across
services for both adults and children. Here is a link to the application form.
There is no charge if you are a student and we can help you complete this for your Student Work Placement.
