Cerebral Palsy Awareness Week (CPAW) is a chance for us to celebrate the achievements of people with disabilities, and take a bigger step towards creating an inclusive community for all. During the week, our services hold a range of community events and activities across the state, from BBQ's and hoedowns to musical performances.
Join in on the fun and help us raise awareness for people with disabilities!

Each year we kick off Cerebral Palsy Awareness Week (CPAW) with our fully accessible family fun day, Picnic in the Park
, at Roma Street Parkland. Springfield’s Arts and Crafts Day
CPL Springfield got crafty, holding a display of clients’ artwork and crafts, as well as a BBQ for everyone to enjoy. Check out the photos!
Mylestones Printing Sizzling Barbecue
Mylestones Printing held a scrumptious barbecue to thank our fantastic local supporters. There was even a visit from Disability Services Minister, Tracy Davis. Take a look at the the photos!
Rockhampton's Callaghan Park Race Day
It was off to the races for CPL Rocky, which hosted a Callaghan Park Race Day at the Archer Pavilion. Race 2 was named in CPL’s honour as the CPL Choice, Passion, Life race. Check out the photos of clients, staff and supporters all looking fabulous in their dashing race wear to celebrate CPAW.
Fun Day at the Marina
It was a fun day at the marina for CPL Gladstone, which hosted a family day where guests were invited to wear fancy dress and enjoy a tasty BBQ, and fun outdoor games. View photos from this wonderful event. Capalaba’s At the Beach Drop In CPL Capalaba beat the winter blues with a day at the beach. Clients, staff and locals were invited to enjoy the Aussie lifestyle by wearing their beach attire and enjoying live music, a display of Capalaba Creations Range, a live cross from the Sandman Panel Van from Nova 106.9FM and refreshments. Moorooka’s BBQ Bonanza
Moorooka got fired up for CPAW with their BBQ Bonanza! Clients decorated flowerpots and enjoyed a delicious sausage (or two) with all the toppings! Windsor’s Fusion of Music
Windsor celebrated CPAW with an amazing night of music and fun with Fusion of Music! The line-up for suited all tastes, from folk music by Sara-Rose Millar to rock covers by Boy Band Jammin! Check out the pics!
Open Day at Hervey Bay
Attendees at Hervey Bay’s Open day were treated to some delicious cupcakes, a photography display, face painting and a chance to show off their skills in the driving simulator. CPL Hervey Bay aimed to get the community behind their fundraising efforts to purchase a four wheel drive chair which would be available for locals to use. Watch the WIN news video footage here
