Eligibility

The CHSP services are available for people aged 65 years and over (50 years and over for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people). This program is also available for prematurely aged people on a low income who are 50 years and over (45 years and over for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people) and are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

To find out if you are eligible for a CHSP services, contact My Aged Care and they’ll refer you to the Regional Assessment Service (RAS) for an assessment of your needs. From there, you can choose your preferred service provider.

 

CHSP services with CPL

CPL is an approved provider of the following CHSP services.

Carer Relationships and Carer Support, which provides support for Carers who need a break from caring for their loved one. Respite services include: cottage respite (QLD and NSW), flexible respite (QLD and NSW), and centre-based respite (NSW).

Community and Home Support Services, which assists older people to live independently in their own home and in the community. These services include group social support, individual social support and transport (NSW).
