Short Term Accommodation (STA)

Short Term Accommodation is funding for support and accommodation for a short time away from your usual home. It covers the cost of your care in another place for up to 14 days at a time and includes the cost of your personal care, accommodation, food and activities which you and your provider agree to.

STA may be accessed for reasons like:

  • Having a short break away from home
  • Having the opportunity to make new friends or develop new skills
  • Helping to maintain your current living situation by giving your informal supports a break
  • Supporting you when your usual support network isn't available for a short period
